Residual oil content measurement OILCHECK according to ISO 8573 – stationary solution

The OIL check residual oil content sensor measures the vaporized residual oil content in compressed air. By extracting a representative partial volume flow from the compressed air for sampling, the OIL check provides constant monitoring. Immediate detection of threshold value exceedances enables quick initiation of corrective actions, ensuring oil-free compressed air.

As a stationary solution in combination with the DS 400, the OIL-Check 400 measures the vaporized residual oil content from 0.001 to 2.5 mg/m³, within a pressure range of 3 to 16 bar. It employs a highly precise PID sensor and an integrated mini catalyst for zero-point calibration.

 

Key features include:

  • Long-term, high-precision residual oil measurement (oil vapor) using a PID sensor (photo-ionic-detector)
  • Stable measurement results over time due to automatic zero-point calibration. The integrated mini catalyst reliably generates a defined reference gas for zero-point calibration
  • Unlike systems that generate “zero air” or reference gas through activated carbon filters, and are thus subject to aging and saturation of the activated carbon filters, the mini catalyst produces “zero air” without aging or wear. Therefore, there is no need to change activated carbon filters
  • Easy sampling via PTFE hose or stainless-steel pipe
